Jon Pearson

Born and raise just north of Philadelphia, I started out mostly in pencil drawings.  Then after graduating from Penn State, I got into watercolors.  After many years of working mostly in watercolors, I stumbled upon digital painting.  This medium is sort of an amalgam of Photography and Painting.   It is infinitely versatile, as you can have your brush (digital pen) imitate Oils, Watercolor, Pastels, etc.

My wife Barbara and I and two children Taylor and Blake have moved around the United States quite a bit in the last 10 years.  Two years ago we finally ended up in central Maryland (Mt. Airy), where we intend to stay.  The towns, countryside, and farms are excellent subjects for paintings.
